FAISAL ISHAQUE

Faisal brings over 25 years of experience in Finance and Investments. He leads EII Capital as the CEO, and previously the CFO. He sits on the investment committee of EII and holds board positions in multiple companies including Memaar Building Systems, Leaders Fort Contracting, AASA Middle East and Abode Investments.

HELMUT SCHOLZE

Helmut has over 17 years worth of experience in law and management consulting. He is a  Partner at A.T. Kearney where he heads the transportation department. Prior to A.T. Kearney, Helmut has held various roles at Rolland Berger and Mckinsey.

Board

The Board is responsible for DAI’s strategic direction, oversight and corporate governance, ensuring that DAI delivers on its investment strategy on sound investing principles.   The Board comprises individuals with decades of aggregated experience in principal investing, corporate finance, venture capital and entrepreneurship involving technology companies spaning the gamut of their potential life cycle.   Our Board members have overseen and taken leading roles on deals ranging from early stage VC deals all the way through to multiple billion dollar exits through IPOs and complex M&A transactions.

Tarek is an entrepreneur, active mentor/advisor & angel investor serving on the board of many startups in the region. He founded and managed media/technology companies across MENA, exiting his first startup in 2000.  Driven by his passion for startups he co-founded DAI.  He is currently Director, MENA, Youtube EMEA at Google

TAMER BAZZARI

Tamer is an Investment Banker with 20 years of experience. He has concluded over 40 deals in MENA. His firm, Genero Capital, is an investor in several sectors with a focus on hospitality, education, Fintech and Technology. He is an angel investor and sits on several boards and investment committees.

Kushal Shah is Head of CVC at e& a global technology and investment group. Previously he was the Senior Partner at Roland Berger's Dubai office and a Managing Partner for the Middle East.  Prior to joining Roland Berger, he spent 12 years with a leading consultancy in London and Dubai. He studied Economics at Cambridge in the UK and he is a certified Chartered Accountant.

Abdullah is a lawyer with more than 27 years' experience in  corporate finance, M&A and venture capital with a deep  focus on technology transactions and helping clients navigate complex shareholder, management  and corporate governance issues.     Abdullah has advised clients ranging from sovereign wealth funds to early-stage companies and is driven by a passion for rigour, attention to detail and best practices.  Abdullah has led deals with an aggregate value in excess of US$30 billion involving assets in 33 emerging and developed markets.  He is  a serial angel investor with many personal investments including successful exits in the U.S. Europe and the Middle East.
