UNDERSTANDING OUR INVESTMENT PROCESS
The best way to apply for funding is to get in touch with a member of our Investment Committee as you will need one of them to ‘sponsor’ your company. The best way to do this is to attend one of our pitch nights or to send an email with some information about yourself and your company.
Once you have a Dubai Angel Investors sponsor, he/she will review your application and advise you on any steps you should take prior to submitting it. Before you submit your application and other pitch materials to your sponsor, please ensure it complies with the basic investment criteria.

SCREENING & SELECTION
Once you have submitted your application to your sponsor, he / she will review it and submit it to the Investment Committee for initial screening and selection.
If a majority of the Investment Committee votes to invite the company to pitch, the sponsor will inform you of this decision and you and your team will be invited to attend the next Dubai Angel Investors pitch night.
Our pitch nights are usually held on the second Tuesday of every month and are attended by the Investment Committee as well as the members.

PITCHING & DECISION
All companies selected to pitch to Dubai Angel Investors will be invited to attend a pitch night. Each pitch night will involve pitches by three or four companies. Each team will be given 20 minutes to present which will be followed by 10 minutes of Q&A with members of the Investment Committee.
Following all the company presentations, all the pitching teams will be asked to leave the room and the Investment Committee will deliberate and try to reach consensus.
The Investment Committee may decide to invest in a company or to reject its application during this deliberation session. Alternatively, the Investment Committee may decide to undertake further discussion with the company or to conduct further diligence before reaching a final decision.
Any company pitching to Dubai Angel Investors will be informed of the decision of the Investment Committee within 24 hours of pitching.
A decision to invest in a company, whether taken at the pitch night or subsequently, requires two-thirds of those investment committee members in attendance at the relevant pitch night to vote in favour of the investment.

Due Diligence & Closing
If the Investment Committee has decided to conduct further diligence or to invest in your company, a team led by your sponsor will be tasked with taking those matters forward.
The same will apply to closing documentation.
All we ask is that you please ensure you respond to all requests in a comprehensive and timely manner.

MENTORING & MONITORING
Once Dubai Angel Investors has invested in your business, your sponsor (or another of our members) will be assigned the task of following your progress and providing you with any assistance you might need from Dubai Angel Investors and its members.
You may be invited to attend meetings of Dubai Angel Investors to provide us with an update on your activities.
